PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the length of a camshaft while keeping the length of a valve gear short in a cylinder axis direction.SOLUTION: A valve gear of an engine comprises a camshaft 52 on which intake cams 65 and exhaust cams 66 are provided, and exhaust rocker arms 54, in which a part of the profile of the exhaust cams 66 protrudes outside of the profile of the intake cams 65 as viewed in the axial direction of the camshaft 52. Intake rocker arms 53, which are driven by the intake cams 65 and press intake valves, are provided between the cam shaft 52 and intake side valve lifters 58. A cam slide surface 81a of the intake rocker arm 53 with the intake cam 65 is formed narrower than the intake side valve lifter 58. In the exhaust cam 66, an overlap part 90, which is a part in the width direction of the same, is arranged to overlap with the intake side valve lifter 58 as viewed in the cylinder axis direction. |
