PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering reusable metal from metal contaminated with a radioactive substance while reducing a treating amount of a radioactive waste remains after the metal is recovered.SOLUTION: The method comprising: (a) a step S1 for preparing radioactive contaminated metal contaminated with a radioactive substance; (b) a step S2 for recovering the radioactive substance from the radioactive contaminated metal as a predetermined amount of a low-level radioactive waste; (c) a step S3 for recovering metal from the radioactive contaminated metal from which the predetermined amount of the low-level radioactive waste has been recovered; (d) a step S4 for equivalent exchanging the predetermined amount of the collected low-level radioactive waste with a predetermined amount of a high-level radioactive waste; and (e) a step S5 for preparing, as transportable enclosed solidified bodies, the high-level radioactive waste equivalent to the predetermined amount of the exchanged high-level radioactive waste. |
