In order to make B1 distribution uniform and reduce SAR in accordance with the contribution to SAR for each channel, when performing RF shimming calculations on the basis of a target function and a constraint condition, an RF shimming method is provided in a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging device comprising: a transmission coil having a plurality of channels that transmit high frequencies to each subject; and a calculation unit that performs RF shimming calculations that determine at least either the amplitude or the phase of the high frequencies transmitted to each of the plurality of channels, such that the distribution of a high-frequency magnetic field generated by the transmission coil is more uniform and the specific absorption rate for the subject is reduced. Values for target function parameters for setting a target function are determined, when performing RF shimming calculations, in accordance with the contribution to the SAR of each channel on the basis of the target function and the constraint condition. |
