METHOD OF PRODUCING COKE FOR BLAST FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing coke for blast furnaces which is excellent in coke strength while achieving more effectively a coal modification activity with a binding replenishment material.SOLUTION: A method of producing coke for blast furnaces is based on charging a coal blend added with a binding replenishment material into a coke oven, and the coal blend is formed by using one or both of a coal of a coalification degree Ro of 0.9% or smaller or a coal of a coalification degree Ro of 1.1% or greater. With the binding replenishment material added to the coal blend, the coal blend is subjected to a high-temperature keeping treatment in a nonoxidative atmosphere at 150-350°C for 1-12 h and then charged into a coke oven.
