METHOD OF MANUFACTURING OPTICAL FILTER FOR DISPLAY, OPTICAL FILTER FOR DISPLAY, AND DISPLAY AND PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL WITH SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical filter with a grounding electrode part that is satisfactory with excellent productivity, and provide the optical filter.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the optical filter for display having a conductive layer 13 projected to the periphery as an electrode part comprises: a step of forming a metal conductive layer 13 on the entire surface of a rectangular transparent substrate 12; a step of forming a functional layer 16 on the entire surface of the rectangular metal conductive layer 13 that is formed; a step of radiating laser along the edge portions to the edge portions of all four sides or the vicinity of the edge portions in the functional layer 16 including a rectangular synthetic resin that is subsequently formed to remove the functional layer 16 of the irradiated portion; and a step of exposing the frame-shaped region of the conductive layer 13 to the periphery of the rectangular functional layer 16. The optical filter is advantageously obtained by this method.
