PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control device capable of editing a tint pattern image by using various applications of high editing capability without being restricted by limited tint pattern setting options, thereby reducing cost needed for preparing a user's original tint pattern. SOLUTION: The printing control device for controlling addition of a tint pattern to a printed matter includes a latent image designation means for designating a specific page issued from a print application as a tint pattern image, a tint pattern preparation means for preparing the tint pattern, and an output means for printing the tint pattern. The tint pattern having an image of the page designated by the latent image designation means, as a latent image area of the tint pattern is created by the tint pattern preparation means, and the tint pattern is printed as tint patterns of other pages not designated by the latent image designation means, by the output means.
