<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether or not the color of a set image is out of a prescribed color reproduction area. <P>SOLUTION: When a color A is in a printer color area and a color B is outside of the printer color area, an alternate color searching processing part 532 extracts all the colors outside of the printer color area (color area outside color) on the side of the color B of gradation. A color of gradation where a minimum color difference with respect to the enclosure of the printer color area is maximum is the color B. Consequently, the alternate color searching processing part 532 extracts the color B as a specific color and changes a file for gradation so as to include the color B in the printer color area. For example, the alternate color searching processing part 532 changes the file for the gradation so that a color area line segment of the gradation may be rotated to the side of the printer color area with the color A as an axis, so that the whole color area of the gradation is included in the printer color area while keeping the maximum color difference which the gradation has. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
