The setting drive comprises a drive unit (10) for adjustment of the antenna or solar collector coupled to one end of the drive shaft (13), which cooperates with a slip-ring device (7) at the other end, for transmission of electrical signals and/or electrical energy. The drive shaft (13) is supported by an axial and radial bearing device (16) between its ends, with a limited air gap (17) between the cylindrical stator of the bearing device (16) and a carrier (2) for the slip-ring discs. The drive unit (10) lies at a distance from the satellite outer skin within the satellite interior, the slip-ring device (7) lying adjacent the satellite outer skin.
