PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively correct motion distortions and geometric distortions in MRI. SOLUTION: The distortion correction method includes the step of collecting k spatial data in a plurality of data reading directions and convert the data to a plurality of images, the step of preparing a corresponding pixel shift map for each of the images, the step of correcting a geometric distortion in a corresponding image on the basis of the pixel shift maps, and the step of combining all of the images whose geometric distortions are corrected.
