<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device capable of improving display quality, and to provide a method of manufacturing the liquid crystal device and an electronic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device 11 includes an element substrate 42, a counter substrate 44 and a liquid crystal layer 14 held between the both. The counter substrate 44 includes a phase difference layer 61 for adjusting the phase difference between a transmitting display area T and a reflecting display area R. In the phase difference layer 61, an area planarly overlapping with the transmitting display area T is composed of an optically transparent (or non-birefringent) isotropic layer 63, and an area planarly overlapping with the reflecting display area R is composed of an anisotropic layer 64 which adjusts the phase difference. A boundary wall 65 is formed at a boundary part between the isotropic layer 63 and the anisotropic layer 64 to prevent diffusion of a monomer or radical from the respective areas to the adjacent other areas during formation of the phase difference layer 61. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
