PRIMERS FOR DETECTING GENOTYPES RELATED TO CHILLING TOLERANCE IN CUCUMBER PLANTS

PURPOSE: A primer set for analyzing a genotype related to the cold tolerance of Cucumis sativus L. is provided to identify a cold tolerance-relating genotype. CONSTITUTION: A primer set which is specific to atpB comprises bases of sequence numbers 1 and 2. A primer set which is specific to ycf1 has bases of sequence numbers 3 and 4. A marker for analyzing genotype related to cold tolerance of Cucumis sativus L. contains one of the primer sets. A composition for analyzing cold tolerance of Cucumis sativus L. contains the primer set which is specific to ycf1 and a restriction enzyme Rsa1. A method for analyzing the genotype comprises: a step of isolating DNA from Cucumis sativus L.; a step of performing PCR using the primer set; a step of treating with the restriction enzyme; and a step of analyzing the size of the product.
