The present invention relates to a device and a method for displaying programs on an electronic device by determining the programs matched with object search information of a suggestive call among programs stored in a memory of the electronic device when the suggestive call is executed. An operating method of the electronic device is capable of determining search information of a selected object, displaying programs corresponding to information obtained from a database, selecting a first program from the programs, executing the first program, and displaying a second program on an execution screen of the first program.
