According to an embodiment, an apparatus for opening a trunk of a vehicle comprises: an access inspection unit inspecting whether a user accesses a trunk of a vehicle and outputting an inspected result as an access signal; a movement information acquisition unit acquiring movement information of a user in response to an acquisition control signal; a movement analysis unit analyzing whether a movement of a user is related to an object movement desired to open a trunk through the acquired movement information and outputting an analyzed result; a trunk opening unit opening a trunk in response to an opening control signal; and a main control unit generating the acquisition control signal in response to the access signal and generating the opening control signal in response to the analyzed result.
