<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing metal or alloy, which is suitable for manufacturing the metal or the alloy especially having uniform crystalline structure, fine crystalline structure or crystalline structure oriented in a specific direction by a roll method. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the metal or the alloy includes: a melting furnace that melts metal or alloy material into melted raw material; a tundish for supplying the melted raw material to a first cooling roll; the first cooling roll that cools and solidifies the melted raw material supplied from the tundish to make an intermediate solidified product; and a second cooling roll that cools and solidifies and/or rolls the intermediate solidified product to obtain the metal or the alloy. The second cooling roll is of movable type, and the first and second cooling rolls are adjacent to each other and rotary shafts thereof are arranged nearly parallel to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
