PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server configured to manage status of a device with high accuracy, while reducing traffic.SOLUTION: On receipt of a query about a status of an MFP from a client device 500 (S1), a server 100 for managing the status of the MFP 300 reads information as to whether the status stored in a memory has a static property or a dynamic property (S2). When the status has the dynamic property, the server communicates with the MFP to acquire the status, and transmits it to the client device (S31, S32, S5). The server stores the status acquired from the MFP (S33), and determines whether the status has the dynamic property or the static property, on the basis of whether the change in status in the memory satisfies a prescribed condition or not (S34). The server updates the property of the status stored in the memory, on the basis of the determination (S35). |
