Fuel cap apparatus for use with fuel venting systems

Fuel cap apparatus for use with fuel venting systems are described. An example fuel cap apparatus includes a body having a central cavity and a flange. A membrane is coupled to the body to form a passageway therethrough and coated with a material to substantially prevent the flow of liquid and permit the flow of gas through the passageway.

1. A fuel cap apparatus, comprising:
a fuel cap having a body defining a first side of the fuel cap and a second side of the fuel cap, the body having an opening defining a perimeter, the perimeter and the opening being radially spaced relative to a central longitudinal axis of the body such that the central longitudinal axis does not intersect the perimeter and the opening; and a membrane layer at least disposed within the opening of the body between an outlet and an inlet of the opening, the membrane layer to form a passageway therethrough and coated with a material to substantially prevent flow of liquid through the passageway and permit flow of gas through the passageway.
