The present invention relates to an apparatus for making snow ice capable of easily cleaning an ice making drum and a water tank, and having a simple structure of a level sensing device of the water tank. Provided is the apparatus for making snow ice comprising: a main body including a space part inside; a water tank installed in a frame fixed inside the main body, and formed to contain a liquid; an ice making drum rotated by drive of a driving motor while a part is immersed in the water tank to make a water film formed on a surface into ice by cooling action of a cooling means; a cutting part installed around the ice making drum to cut a frozen surface formed in the ice making drum into the form of a thin slice; and an ice making drum cleaning device to clean the ice making drum by injecting water to the surface of the ice making drum.
