<p>This video output device (10) has a first detecting means that uses a first method to detect a connection to a video input device (20) and a second detecting means that uses a second method to detect a connection to said video input device. When the first detecting means detects a connection, an address is read out from the video input device and stored and messages are exchanged with the video input device. Subsequently, even if the first detecting means detects the absence of a connection to the video input device, if the second detection means has detected a connection to the video input device, the address that was previously read out is retained and the exchange of messages is continued.</p> |
