<p>The lamp (1) has a discharge vessel (2) including two capillaries (10) and accommodated in a tubular outer bulb (3). The discharge vessel is manufactured from ceramic or quartz glass. A major part of the outer bulb is closely surrounded by a transparent sleeve i.e. shrink sleeve, made of highly heat-resistant plastic. A flexible tube (15) surrounds the outer bulb at the level of the discharge vessel and below the sleeve. The tube is manufactured from hard glass or quartz glass, which is more heat-resistant than the sleeve. The tube is seated on the outer bulb by a spacer.</p> |
