PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery excellent in thermal stability, even at the time of penetration of the battery.SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery includes an electrode assembly where a positive electrode including a positive electrode collector, a first separator, a negative electrode including a negative electrode collector, and a second separator are laminated sequentially. The positive electrode collector and negative electrode collector have a plain part, where an active layer does not exist, on both sides, respectively. The first separator includes a first base material containing polyolefin resin particles, and an inorganic layer located on at least one side of the first base material and containing an inorganic substance. The second separator includes a second base material containing polyolefin resin particles. In at least one of the outermost shell part and the central part of the electrode assembly, the plain part of the positive electrode collector, first separator, plain part of the negative electrode collector, and second separator are laminated sequentially. |
