Embodiments of the present invention disclose a network discovery method, an access point, and a terminal device, and relate to the field of communication technologies. The method includes: generating, by an access point, a physical layer frame, and setting indication information in a frame header part of the physical layer frame, where the indication information is used for indicating that the physical layer frame carries a network discovery message; and sending, by the access point, the physical layer frame. The present invention is applicable to a scenario where the terminal device is connected to the access point by using a WiFi network. |
