<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device capable of switching assist characteristics without giving a driver an uncomfortable feeling.SOLUTION: If one of a first characteristic that is a characteristic of a command signal to a steering torque and a second characteristic different from the first characteristic is selected and the first or second characteristic is switched to the selected characteristic, a power steering device of the present invention calculates an interpolation characteristic that is a characteristic between the first characteristic and the second characteristic so that the characteristic before switching is gradually closer to the characteristic after switching. Furthermore, the power steering device exerts a control to make variable switching time from one of the first characteristic and the second characteristic to the other characteristic depending on the steering torque.</p> |
