<p>This invention provides a connector that minimizes decreases in sealing performance at wire insertion holes. Said connector (1) comprises a housing (11) and a mat seal (12) and is characterized in that the mat seal (12) is formed so as to have the following: a waterproofing section (121) that tightly contacts the inside surface of the housing (11) and blocks the ingress of water; and a plurality of wire insertion holes (122, 123) through which a respective plurality of terminal-bearing wires (14) are inserted in the direction from the outside of the housing (11) to the inside thereof. This connector (1) is also characterized in that: seal pieces (125, 127) that tightly contact the outside surface of a wire section of the corresponding terminal-bearing wire (14) are formed on the inside surface of each wire insertion hole (122, 123); and the surfaces of the seal pieces (125, 127) that face the outside of the housing (11) and the surfaces of the seal pieces (125, 127) that face the inside of the housing (11) are substantially perpendicular to the insertion direction of the corresponding terminal-bearing wire (14) before said terminal-bearing wire (14) is inserted.</p> |
