<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress worsening of driveability when assist frequency by motor generator increases. <P>SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle control device with an engine and a motor generator as a power source includes: a determination means (S1) to determine whether it is the driving time when driving force is required rather than the normal driving time; and assist time computing means (S2, S4, S5) to compute the assist time when the motor generator is made to function as an electric motor.
