<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration redundancy apparatus and a configuration method that are capable of assuring start-up of an FPGA while reducing time from power-on to the start-up of the FPGA. <P>SOLUTION: When configuration data of a configuration ROM among a plurality of configuration ROMs is garbled, failure of a configuration is determined on the basis of a signal output by an FPGA at a time of configuration failure, and a configuration path is switched. When the FPGA starts up by failing in a first configuration, and succeeding in a second configuration, the FPGA can start up using the first configuration at a time of following start-up by recovering the configuration data of the configuration ROM read in the first configuration using an error detection code which is added to the configuration ROM. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
