Sifting drum, operating depressurised or pressurised; surface envelope covered with fibre or similar (1) felt conveyed pneumatically; means of extracting (1) by material supply (2) pipe being tangentially directed to drum; (2) extended by a drum casing so curved that inertia and gravity of heaviest material is used to separate it, sifting drum being drawn in opposite direction to that of entry of material, a waste collection chamber, e.g. cellular cylinder, being located below axis of sifting drum. Optionally (3) casing, (above), may have sectional shape of an arc of circle and sifting drum maybe located eccentrically, and have parabolic/elliptical shape, summit of which is above axis of drum.</p> |
