THREE-DIMENSIONAL MAP DISPLAY SYSTEM

[Problem] To reduce obstructions caused by depth determination in the drawing of a three-dimensional map. [Solution] A three-dimensional map display system (100) uses a first drawing section (42) to perform depth determination and hidden-surface processing when drawing a ground surface and terrestrial features. Subsequently, the system uses a second drawing section (46) to draw subterranean features in a superimposed manner on the drawing result by the first drawing section (42) without performing the depth determination and hidden-surface processing with respect to the drawing result by the first drawing section (42). During the drawing of the subterranean features, the subterranean features are prohibited from being drawn in overlapping areas with terrestrial structures by the use of a mask image generated by a mask image generation section (44) such that the subterranean features are displayed as if the depth determination was performed between the terrestrial structures and the subterranean features.
