<p>A unique and innovative Payment System Environment (PSE) application is described herein. The PSE application, used during the EMV process of Application Selection, is capable of incorporating data from an EMV payment application into a constituent Data Record. The Data Record is said to be dynamic in that the data incorporated may be changed over the life of the EMV payment application. The dynamic Data Record may include a mnemonic that is presented to the cardholder at the time of application selection. The changing of this mnemonic may then prove useful in aiding the cardholder in deciding which application is to be selected for the initiation and processing of an EMV transaction.</p> |
