PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that can reduce incorrect detection of the amount of developer to increase the accuracy of the detection.SOLUTION: A developing device 4 includes a partition wall 46 that divides the inside of a developing housing 40 through which toner is circulated and conveyed into a first space A into which the toner is supplied and a second space B in which a developer roller is disposed. The developing device 4 includes a main communication port 46a at both ends of the partition wall 46 and an auxiliary communication port 46b at the intermediate part of the partition wall 46, and further has a detection area for detecting the amount of the toner provided at a position adjacent to the auxiliary communication port 46b in the first space A. |
