<p>The present invention relates to a cutting insert, and more specifically, to a chemical vapor deposition method of carbide cutting tools for machining cast irons. To minimize delamination of coating layers and to improve oxidation resistance and toughness, during turning machining of grey cast irons and nodular graphite cast irons, a size and an N/C ratio of columnar crystals of TiC_xN_y constituting an underlying layer, and a growth direction of Al_2O_3 grains constituting an upper layer are controlled, and treatment is applied to control stresses of each layer to be suited to a cut article through a post-treatment after growth.</p> |
