PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deviation stop members from being brought into contact with an end of a cooling member while fixing the cooling member to an apparatus structure body to suppress a reduction in cooling effect.SOLUTION: In a recording material conveying device that holds and conveys a recording material with a first conveying mechanism (31) and a second conveying mechanism (32) that are arranged opposite to each other, at least one of the first conveying mechanism and second conveying mechanism includes belts (56 and 59), stretching members (55, 57, and 58), and a cooling member (33) cooling a recording material; the belts have deviation stop members (83) preventing the skew of the recording material to the stretching members provided on the inner peripheral surface; the cooling member includes a heat absorbing surface (34) that is brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the belts to deprive heat of a recording material, projection parts (71) that project from the heat absorbing surface to the outside in the longitudinal direction, and connection parts (72) that engage the projection parts with an apparatus structure body; and the projection parts include retreat spaces (84) for preventing the interference with the deviation stop members (83). |
