摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector mounting structure on an end of an optical fiber, in which heat generated at the end of the optical fiber associated with propagation of high-NA light can be effectively and rapidly radiated and deterioration of the optical fiber can be suppressed.SOLUTION: In a connector mounting structure on an end of an optical fiber, where an optical fiber 10 comprises a bare optical fiber 1 consisting of a core 1A and a cladding 1B, coated with a resin layer 2, and the resin layer 2 and the cladding 1B are removed from a front end of the optical fiber to form an exposed core 11. The connector comprises optical fiber holding means 34 formed with an optical fiber insertion hole 33 comprising optical fiber holding structure 32 with a bellow-like inner surface 31. A terminal end 2A of the resin layer 2 adjacent to the exposed core 11 at the end of the optical fiber is arranged in the optical fiber holding structure 32. Protrusions 31A of the bellow-like inner surface 31 of the optical fiber holding structure 32 encroaches on the resin layer 2 to hold the optical fiber.
