<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector capable of reducing a fitting load applied from terminals to a circuit board and also allowing a reduced size in a fitting direction.SOLUTION: An electric connector comprises: a female housing 11 which holds a plurality of terminals 20 brought into contact with an electrode part 52 of a circuit board 50; a male housing 31 fitted to the female housing 11; an opening/closing cam 41 which is rotatably supported by the female housing 11, and when rotated, causes the plurality of terminals 20 to open or close so that the terminals are in a closed state where they come into contact with the electrode part 52 or in an open state where they do not come into contact with the electrode part 52; a pinion 44 which rotates in synchronization with the opening/closing cam 41; and a rack 34 which is provided on the male housing 31 to mesh with the pinion 44. When the female housing 11 and the male housing 31 are linearly moved along a fitting direction with the pinion 44 and the rack 34 meshed together, the pinion 44 rotates so that the opening/closing cam 41 causes the terminals 20 to open or close.</p> |
