An electrically raisable/lowerable storage device provided with a storage shelf (2) to be raised and lowered between an upper-limit position and a lower-limit position, a raising/lowering unit (3) for raising and lowering the storage shelf (2) in conjunction with the rotation of a motor (31) provided therein, a control unit (4) for controlling the rotations of the motor (31), and a rotations-detection unit (7) for detecting the number of rotations of the motor (31) per unit of time, wherein the control unit (4) starts rotating the motor (31) by supplying the motor (31) with a constant initial current during a first interval (T1), controls feedback in a manner such that the number of rotations of the motor (31) per unit of time equals a target number of rotations during a second interval (T2) which follows the first interval (T1), and after the second interval (T2), maintains the current supplied to the motor (31) when the second interval (T2) concluded.
