PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery monitoring device capable of effectively controlling voltages, and a battery unit.SOLUTION: A battery monitoring device includes: a first control unit disposed outside a plurality of battery stacks including a battery cell; a second control unit, disposed in each of the plurality of battery stacks, for detecting the output voltage of the battery cell and outputting pulse data representing the detected voltage; and a daisy chain for connecting the plurality of second control units to the first control unit. When transmitting the voltage data of the battery cell corresponding to itself to the first control unit via the daisy chain, the second control unit outputs the voltage data of the battery cell corresponding to itself to another second control unit located farther away from the first control unit than itself. |
