PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an isotope labeled compound that is produced in a short time, favorably used for a PET method, diagnoses prion diseases and enables pharmacokinetic analysis and a precursor for its synthesis. SOLUTION: The isotope labeled anti-prion active compound comprises a compound represented by formula (a) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each the same or different and hydrogen atom, oxygen atom, halogen atom, hydroxy, mercapto, cyano, carboxy, carbamoyl, alkoxycarbonyl, acyloxy, acyl, hydrocarbon which may contain a substituent, heterocyclic which may contain a substituent, amino which may contain a substituent or is mutually bonded to form a hydrocarbon ring which may contain a hetero atom; ring Z<SP>1</SP>and ring Z<SP>2</SP>are each a ring which may contain a substituent and contains one nitrogen atom) or its salt.
