<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen time in which an embroidery cloth presser member is pressing an embroidery cloth during one cycle of a needle bar vertical motion, and also to raise the embroidery cloth presser member to desired height after releasing the embroidery cloth pressing.SOLUTION: An embroidery cloth presser device includes: a vertically movable needle bar 41; an embroidery cloth presser member 43 for pressing an embroidery cloth W; a holder member 46 for holding the embroidery cloth presser member in a vertically movable manner via an elastic member 45; a presser raising operation lever 48 for switching a holding position of the holder member for holding the embroidery cloth presser member manually so that the embroidery cloth presser member is set to be in one of a pressing position for pressing the embroidery cloth W and a pressing release position for releasing the pressing of the embroidery cloth W; and a drive mechanism for driving the embroidery cloth presser member in such a manner that the embroidery cloth presser member rises by a rising stroke surpassing the needle bar against a resilient force of the elastic member with respect to the holder member being interlocked with a rising motion of the needle bar, in a state where the embroidery cloth presser member is set in the pressing position by the switch of the holding position of the holder member by the presser raising operation lever.</p> |
