Process to refine a glassmelt

Process for refining a glass melt for a glass-ceramic green glass involving preparation of a glass batch based on a LiAl silicate (LAS) system with addition of Sn oxide as refining agent (sic) in quantity less than 0.4 wt.% instead of As and/or Sb as refining agent, holding of the glass batch for the minimum temperature at a mean temperature as defined by a formula, and melting of the mixture and refining of the melt at a temperature less than 1700[deg] C (sic) without the use of special high temperature refining aggregate. An independent claim is included for a device for carrying out the process.
