1. An apparatus for identifying a cell of a sample, the apparatus comprising:
image input means configured to input image information of the sample from a microscope; image display means configured to display the image information to an observer; area designation means configured to designate a fixed area in the image information in response to an operation earned out by the observer according to the image information displayed by the image display means; conversion means configured to convert vibration information of the sample in the fixed area into sound information having a frequency band audible to humans; and sound output means configured to output the sound information to the observer.
