A content delivery control method for implementing delivery scheduling with consideration given into the conveniences of both a communication common carrier and a terminal user in a content delivery system including a delivery server for delivering a content, a terminal for receiving the content, and a gateway for relaying communication between the delivery server and the terminal, wherein when receiving a request to relay the content from the delivery server, the gateway transmits, to the terminal, a delay tolerance allowed for the reception of the content, surrounding area information relating to the terminal, and the identifier of the content before the start of the delivery of the content to the terminal, and the terminal determines the scheduled reception time of the content on the basis of the received delay tolerance, surrounding area information, and identifier of the content, and transmits, to the gateway, a request to deliver the content the scheduled reception time of which has come. |
