A communication device 14 is provided with: the first resistance R1 connected to a reference potential from the midway of one communication line 14a; the second resistance R2 and third resistance R3 arranged in series so as to be connected to the ground voltage from the midway of the other communication line 14; and a switch Q1 opening and closing between the first resistance R1 and the reference voltage. When the switch Q1 is closed, the potential between the second resistance R2 and the third resistance R3 is detected, and the presence/absence and the type of abnormality is inspected based on the detected potential, a power supply voltage, a reference voltage and a ground voltage as well as the resistance values of the first resistance, second resistance and third resistance.
