The hydraulic self-advancing support frame is composed in essential components of a bottom runner 1, a hydraulically vertically adjustable prop 2 which is mounted on the said runner 1 and has the purpose of supporting a roof cap 3 to which a gob shield 4 is coupled on the gobbing side. The said shield 4 is connected via a rocker 5 to a base frame 6 which surrounds the bottom runner 1 and can be displaced relative thereto in the extraction direction. On the base frame 6, an adjustment plate 15 forms the bearing for a working face 9. A working device is guided on pipe guides 12 of the working face 9, the cutter carriages 14 of which device are pulled by a circulating chain 13. In extraction mode, a multiplicity of supporting frames are arranged one next to the other in a straight line or laterally offset, the working face 9 being adjustable in various angular positions with respect to the base frame 6 in each case in parallel with the face. <IMAGE>
