Disclosed is a method for scanning an access point in a wireless LAN system. An active scanning method includes a step of transmitting an access point to a probe request frame and a step of receiving a probe response frame corresponding to the probe request frame from the access point. The probe response frame can include the time information of a beacon transmitted after the probe response frame. Therefore, the efficiency of a wireless channel in a wireless LAN system can be improved.
