Packaging 2 is scored, folded, secured and partially sealed; part of this process occurring on a form fill seal machine. The scoring can be done mechanically or with a laser. The seal can be crimped or embossed. The seal can be formed with peelable or reclosable adhesive. A food item 202 to be packed can be placed on the packaging after scoring. Sealing can be completed subsequently. The scoring can be done before of after receiving the packaging on a form fill seal machine and placing an item on it. The packaging may be 125 micron thick cartonboard. |
