PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a shortage of a CPU capacity by changing control parameters of a boost on the basis of types of events which occur in a portable information terminal while reducing power consumption.SOLUTION: The portable information terminal which controls an operation frequency of the CPU includes a state acquisition part for acquiring a state of the portable information terminal and a control part for raising a lower limit of the operation frequency of the CPU when processing an event which occurs after the state is changed and before a time related to the acquisition of the state elapses.
