PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine enabling improvement of a service life by reducing a load acting on rotation preventing mechanisms.SOLUTION: There is provided a scroll type fluid machine comprising: a fixed scroll 3; a revolving scroll 4 provided opposite to the fixed scroll 3 and moving revolvingly; a casing 2 provided outside of the revolving scroll; a drive shaft 10 moving revolvingly the revolving scroll; a boss plate part 6 provided apart from the revolving scroll and connected with the drive shaft; and a plurality of rotation preventing mechanisms 17 provided between the boss plate part and the casing. The boss plate part has a plurality of rotation preventing mechanism side boss plate portions which are connected with the rotation preventing mechanisms, and a drive shaft side boss plate portion which is connected with the drive shaft, and a space part is provided between the rotation preventing mechanism side boss plate portions and the drive shaft side boss plate portion.
