PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas insulation apparatus for electric power which is capable of maintaining stable quality and safely implementing maintenance inspection.SOLUTION: A gas insulation apparatus for electric power comprises: a sealed container 2 filled with COgas or mixed gas 1b containing COas insulation gas; and a pair of electric contacts 3, 4 installed within the sealed container 2. In the case of electrification, the electric contacts 3, 4 are kept in a contacted state, thereby performing the electrification. In the case of current interruption, the electric contacts 3, 4 are separated, arc discharge 6 is generated in the insulation gas 1b, the insulation gas 1b is turned to hot gas by the arc discharge 6, and the arc discharge 6 is extinguished, thereby interrupting a current. In the gas insulation apparatus for electric power, an aberration element 14 is installed as an oxygen discharge member for discharging O atoms at a position with which the hot gas 9a2 is contacted, within the sealed container 2. |
