A driving apparatus for a liquid crystal display device and a method for driving the same are provided to reduce area and manufacturing costs by installing a gate output enable generating unit in the gate driver. A liquid crystal panel(2) has a plurality of pixel regions, and a gate driver(6) operates a gate line of the liquid crystal panel. A timing controller(8) generates a gate control signal and controls the gate driver including a gate output enable generating unit, which receives a gate start pulse and a gate shift clock of the gate control signal and generates a gate output enable signal. |
