The assembly (16) has a rotary member (18) comprising a stationary portion (20) with an electromagnetic coupling unit (26). A disk (22) is mounted on the stationary portion, and has another electromagnetic coupling unit (28) coupled to the former coupling unit. A measurement system measures wear of the rotary member, and has a detecting unit. The detection unit has an electrical circuit arranged in an inner side of the disk. The electrical circuit comprises an electrical wire that cut by abrasion when wear value of the disk is reached, where the wire is connected to the latter coupling unit. An independent claim is also included for a tunneller.
