PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing opened fiber bundles at high speed and in a small scale.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for continuously manufacturing opened fiber bundles for a cleaning member, which includes steps of: (a) preparing (i) a first nip roll, (ii) a second nip roll, (iii) a third nip roll, and (iv) an opening acceleration member; (a) applying tension to a fiber bundle by conveying the fiber bundle by using the first nip roll and the second nip roll, and conveying the fiber bundle while pressing it to an upstream part and a corner part of the opening acceleration member; and (a) loosening the fiber bundle by conveying the fiber bundle by using the second nip roll and the third nip roll to form a belt-like fiber bundle.
